Dr. Setiawan is Co-leader of the Cancer Epidemiology Research Program at USC Norris, a Professor of Preventive Medicine at KSOM, and the Kris and Jane Popovich Chair in Cancer Research. She is also Associate Director for Population Sciences at the USC Research Center for Liver Diseases. Setiawan’s research focuses on understanding the determinants of racial/ethnic differences in cancer incidence and mortality and identifying populations at highest risk because of genetic and biologic factors, environmental exposures, or a combination of both. She is currently Principal Investigator of three NCI R01s to examine the determinants of health disparities in cancers of the liver and pancreas.
