USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center Administration

The USC Norris Administration provides critical infrastructure to support the Director, Associate Directors, Program Leaders, Shared Resources, Cancer Center members, USC Norris space and facilities, and external stakeholders engaged in cancer research, community outreach and engagement, and training and education.  USC Norris Administration is comprised of four units: the Business Office, Research Administration, Director’s Office, and Communications. Additionally, the USC Norris Administration supports all governance and programmatic meetings and retreats to propel the USC Norris research enterprise to greater collaboration and innovation. Overall, the USC Norris Administration provides a full complement of professionally managed services for our dynamic Cancer Center.

Christopher Loertscher serves as the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and Associate Director for Administration of USC Norris. In his role as CAO, Mr. Loertscher serves as the senior administrative staff member for the Cancer Center and sits on the Cancer Center Executive Committee. He provides leadership and oversight of administration, operations, finance and business, space and facilities planning,  Program and Shared Resource development, and community outreach functions. Loertscher also serves as a key liaison between USC Norris and the National Cancer Institute (NCI), other NCI-designated cancer centers, Keck School of Medicine leadership, University of Southern California officials, and USC Keck Medicine administrators.
