Dr. Milam is Co-Leader of the Cancer Control Research Program at USC Norris and Associate Professor of Preventive Medicine in KSOM. He is also Co-Director of an NCI T32 post-doctoral program in cancer control and of the Center for Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Research. Milam studies protective/resiliency factors that can improve behavioral health and cancer survivorship. He is the Principal Investigator of two NCI/NIH R01 grants to investigate follow-up care among young adult survivors of childhood and adolescent cancers, and long-term quality of life among survivors who were diagnosed during young adulthood.
