Dr. Kast is the Co-Leader of the Tumor Microenvironment Program, Co-Director of the Flow Cytometry & Immune Monitoring Shared Resource, and the Director of the K-12 Cancer Education Program for underrepresented minority students at USC Norris. He has over 37 years of research and education experience. Kast’s research focuses on cancer immunology and therapeutic human papilloma virus (HPV) vaccines. Combined his 280 peer reviewed articles have been quoted more than 24,000 times, leading to a publication H-index of 82 (Google Scholar). Kast is the Principal Investigator on multiple NIH-funded grants (R01s, R25).
