Cell and Tissue Imaging Equipments

Nikon STORM Super-Resolution / Confocal laser Microscope (Room 4407):A super-resolution single molecule imaging system; lateral resolution of approximately 20nm and axial resolution of approximately 50nm. It is equipped with a Z-drive with 25nm resolution and with the Nikon perfect focus system for long term time-lapse imaging.
JEOL JEM-2100 LaB6 (NTT Room 4408):Accelerating voltage 80 to 200kV; material sciences, nanoelectronics, and biological sciences capability; capable of magnifications from 50x to 1,500,000x.
JEOL JSM-6390LV (NTT Room 4400):Accelerating voltage of 500V to 30kV; a high vac. resolution of 3.0nm, and a low vac. resolution of 4.0 nm; can accommodate large samples (6 inch in diameter); and capable of magnifications from 5x to 300,000x.
PerkinElmer Spinning Disk laser Confocal (NTT Room 4409A):Equipped with 4 lasers, at 405 nm, 442 nm, 488 nm, 514 nm, 568 nm, and 647 nm; 5 objectives: 10x, 20x, 40x water, 63x water, and 100x oil; imaging modules are 2D, Z stack, 3D, time lapse and video rate imaging acquisition. The microscope also incorporates a cell incubation system for optimal temperature, and CO2 control.
Aperio Digital ScanScope (NTT Room 4407A):Automated rapid histological 5 slide scanner capable of imaging slides in an automated fashion at up to 40x.. Images can be stored and analyzed for specific features using unique proprietary software (i.e. measuring area, and stain detection).
