As we all know, the "Internet of Things" holds great potential to meet unmet needs of healthcare. However, to become applicable in clinical practice, IoT technologies demand research, development, testing, and trials, since these systems are intended to be a part of hospitals, clinics and naturalistic environments such as homes. This session will discuss and demonstrate IoT technologies that are aimed at providing health interventions to patients. This session will also provide valuable insights to clinicians, researchers and engineers on how to create IoT systems that empower both the patient and the provider. The aim of this session is to initiate conversations among technologists, engineers, and clinicians to synergize their efforts in producing low-cost, high-performance, highly-efficient, deployable IoT healthcare systems.
