You may participate in this study if:
Histologically confirmed prostate cancer
At least 18 years of age
No signs or symptoms of active infection
Exhibits willingness to comply with the experimental procedures as outlined in this protocol
Localized: Considered candidate for a radical prostatectomy
Prostate cancer must be classified as intermediate or high risk based of the presence of any of the following factors: [a] Gleason score = / > 7; [b] Clinical stage = / > T2; [c] PSA = / > 10 ng/ml
No prior use of systemic prostate cancer therapy such as androgen-deprivation therapy or cytotoxic chemotherapy
Metastatic: Metastatic prostate cancer diagnosed by imaging and other clinical criteria
Planned institution of systemic therapy (chemotherapy, hormonal therapy) for metastatic prostate cancer
