Parkash S. Gill, M.D.

Parkash S. Gill, M.D., is a Professor of Medicine and Pathology. He is the Leader of the Translational and Clinical Sciences Program.

Dr. Gill received his medical degree in 1975 from the Government Medical College, Patiala, Punjab, India. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine from the New Brunswick Affiliated Hospital, New Brunswick, New Jersey in 1980 and a fellowship in Oncology from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, California in 1983.

Dr. Gill has been studying the role of EphB4 receptor tyrosine kinase and its ligand EphrinB2 as a novel tumor target in certain cancers. He studied the expression of EphB4 in prostate cancer human tumor tissues for both mRNA and protein expression.

He is a reviewer for several journals including the American Journal of Pathology, Blood, Cancer Research, and Clinical Cancer Research. Professional memberships include the ACTG Oncology Committee, American Society of Hematology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the Southwest Oncology Group.
